It's where the future owners of your house will bathe their small children. En-suite used to mean strictly within the room, but over time, the use of the word has changed. If you still want to have a tub in the house, I'd put it upstairs. ![]() That will be very helpful if someone becomes ill or injured in a way that makes going upstairs or stepping into the tub a problem (even something as simple as a broken leg). You may want to consider removing the downstairs tub and make it a walk-in shower. Is it possible to put a pocket door between the downstairs bedroom and bathroom? (Sounds confusing, but in total there were 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and one shower.) So depending on which way the doors were open/closed, there was a full master bathroom, a full bathroom for the kids, and a powder room for guests.
